Chevron & The Look for Less

One thing I love is to find a good bargain.  I am all about bargain shopping and finding designer looks for less.  You can expect to find a lot of "looks for less" features on here in the future.

Another thing I love?  The Chevron pattern trend.

I found this Village Blue Chevron Pillow on Overstock.com, and I love it.  What I don't love is the $52.99 price tag.

So I was VERY excited to find this version at Target for only $19.99!  It comes in Pink and Gold also.

I also found these on Etsy, which are $29.99 for 2 18x18 pillow covers and come in a variety of colors.  You can buy inserts pretty cheap at most craft stores.

I really like geometric patterns, so I was happy to see this pattern becoming such a big trend.  Although I didn't end up purchasing any of the pillows above, I'm thinking of attempting to make my own (yikes!) in a similar style.  Not sure what color yet.  We all know that I can't sew, so this should be interesting.  Stay tuned...

All of the above ideas could be "DIY."  Even the chair!  Did you know that you can actually paint upholstery fabric AND rugs?  More on that later.  For now I just have to figure out what the first Chevron patterned item in my home is going to be.
